They beat up on each other so much. #8 Ohio St vs #10 Michigan; #3 Oklahoma vs #11 Oklahoma St.
    Who else?

Contrary to what we THINK we see, it's not exclusive to the SEC Conf.

Same type of cannibalism in the PAC12,.. The South division Champ could have 3 conference losses,.. (if USC beats the Bruins). Stanford only lost one conference game,.. but only because Washington State missed their no time left 43 yard field goal. Thus the PAC is not going to be included in the playoffs,.. the same will happen to the SEC if Alabama loses one of their next two games.

A tough conference makes it too difficult to make the playoffs,.. but if in an easy conference you're a shoe in. A good reason why the NCAA should expand to an 8 team playoff. The top 4 rated Conference Champs and 4 at large teams would to a great scenario, me thinks.

How fun would it be to have four playoff games on the same day! :)

My thought was to avoid having some lesser team in the playoffs, who via upset won their conference championship game,.. but your plan would be awesome.

I'm okay with some new faces (Iowa, Clemson) and spreading the fun around some.
