See, I get what you are saying. But Ed Orgeron CANNOT use that as an excuse when his first choice was Lane Kiffin. But if we are comparing this year to last year, we had Fournette and a kicker last year, we had Pocic, and Dupre. Not to mention we had a head coach that was fucking around with the offense this season, making Canada quit running motion and shifts. Orgeron hamstrung this offense.
Imagine telling Gus Malzhan he can’t run zone read anymore. Canada’s offense can only work with shifts and motions. So telling the guy he can’t do that anymore? You’re right it’s not hamstringing it, it’s more like sabotage.

the troy game, maybe... we had 4 turnovers against troy which had more to do with the loss than no jet motion in the first half... but we ran the jet motion on damn near every play for every game after troy to say that o hamstrung his play calling...
This happened one half this season after several games where the offense looked like junk. That’s not hamstrung.
Comparing year x to year y has never made much sense to me, way too many changing variables to make it valid. With that expected more from Canada and that includes at least another year. Yes @fanatic He hired a HS coach I believe just to show that he is the smartest guy in the room.
Doesn’t look like we will get it because coach waterhead doesn’t like him, but you know Lane Kiffin is likeable. Notre Dame will crush us and Ed O will have his previously built in excuse and Blame Canada, Blame Canada.... an idea he probably got watching South Park.
