I agree with that @Bengal B but you have to start with something to develop. I’m not saying ours are bad because we play them tougher than most, but you can’t deny that they do recruit elite talent.
Compare the rankings with NFL. Outside of Bama and UGA this year, classes 3-10 are splitting hairs. We will finish top 10 this year. As high as 8 me thinks. Next year we legit have a chance to be #1.
I'm asking someone who really follows recruiting to respond. However, from a cursory view, it appears that, as a percentage, there are fewer linemen, especially offensive linemen, that receive 4 and 5 stars than the skilled positions. If this is correct, seeing that about 2/3 of our current signees or commits are linemen, O did a hell of a job getting us into the top ten rankings. I'll hang up and listen.
which penalties were a direct result of the motion? here, i’ll help by posting a list of all penalties called through the Miss St game: we’re our O-line holding because of the shifts? maybe our defense was offside because Canada has a lot of motion. i mean we had just as many of those as we did false starts.
I’m not sure pointing out 16 penalties on offense during the Misst State games helps disprove the argument O had to reduce the motions he said caused confusion.
Stars are handed out based on overall best player ranking. So in other words, it can be all filled up with ATH/WR/QB/RB etc.
But, am I correct that, as a percentage, fewer linemen receive 4 or 5 stars than do the skilled positions?
that’s through through 3 games. 16 on offense 14 on defense. 7 on offensive line 20 on everyone else. but the motion of lineman was the problem.
