Everything points to a severance less than the full amount contractually owed. Supposed to happen quick, I just hope it’s resolved satisfactorily for LSU football. EDIT: Lots of smoke in the local media.
Whatever it is it's "behind the scenes." We will have to wait for the next leak to give us more fuel for speculation.
Why would Canada negotiate less than what's owed? I wouldn't settle for a penny less unless they had something on me as an employee. And if they threatened a protracted lawsuit before paying, I'd say "sue me then. The 1.5 million I made in the last 10 months will last me a long time."
Matt Canada artfully backs LSU toward $3 million worth of regret https://www.seccountry.com/lsu/matt-canada-lsu-ed-orgeron-contract-buyout
because that’s how business works. Hannigriff says that this is mutual. He didn’t give details, but said things were done and said between him and O that “can’t be walked back”. the relationship is reportedly not repairable. if Canada quits, he owes LSU money. if LSU fires him, they owe him money. staying the course of the contract does not seem to be an option that either party is interested in. so the two sides try to meet somewhere in the middle.
If people have moral character, it can largely be measured by the ability to meet in the middle with mutual forgiveness.
Lol I save good fortune cookies on a magnetic refrigerator clip. The two all time best are: "All the secrets of success won't work unless you do." And... "Your winning lottery numbers are in another cookie."
Here ya go....Rutgers looking for an OC but their last OC was paid $600,000 and he was the highest paid assistant in school history. https://articles.nj.com/rutgersfoot...c_search_why_matt_canada_might_be_a_perfe.amp
