This article implies that Canada wasn't really calling the plays. Good points about Orgeron's decision making... https://articles.nola.com/lsu/index.ssf/2018/01/ed_orgerons_next_flip_of_the_s.amp
Apparently the Aggies have been trying to snatch up Aranda. These fuckers are starting to piss me off.
They're following the Bama template though. Championships require the very best head coaches, top coordinators & a rock solid administratration. National recruiting. We are instead being sold "It's all about Louisiana, baby".
Someone want to explain to me why A&M all of a sudden is laying out a shitload of cash to try to buy a championship? Buyouts, facilities, upgrades, coaches. They are definitely going after it. I have my doubts that it will ultimately work, but it won’t be for a lack of certain effort.
Got damned tired of losing or being average. Ponied up the money to upgrade their entire image, hired a top coach to try to be competetive with the very top teams. I admire their efforts to be honest, because they are at least going for it. We are stuck trying to put band aides on major problems. Just my opinion..
I honestly don't know how much of Canada's offense O let him run. We basically got motion from the line, jet sweeps, and a couple passes to non WRs that were new. Listening to Mike D talk about it, it sounds like as far back as September it was known they were butting heads. If that's when it was known to other people, it probably started earlier than that.
I get what you're saying here, and it was frustrating that by the end of the game yesterday, you could see ND stacking the box and daring us to throw, as teams have done to us for the last 5-7 years. But you just can't overlook the fact that Etling is a. not ideally suited for Canada's offense, and b. just not that good a passer. I love the guy's tenacity, toughness and courage, but the pure QB skills ain't there. Add in the injuries along the line and to Guice - certainly not O or Canada's fault - and you had a recipe for a difficult season on the offensive side of the ball. Canada has good credentials, and he deserves time to get his offense running with people recruited specifically for the system. That we've had all these problems between O and Canada, and now that it looks like he will be run off....I agree; the higher ups need to be looking at the way Orgeron relates to his staff and handles his business.
