So a head coach should stay completely out of the teams offensive and defensive philosophy? Also if your OC or DC can't get along with the HC the HC coach is the problem? The HC is the general and he will live and die with his decisions. You are asking for the "tail to wag the dog". With Canada's past getting fired at NC State abruptly and short stays everywhere else I sense a pattern. You act like without Canada the sky is falling as if there is no other answer. So once again the 4 teams playing for the NC are not using Canada's offensive scheme why is that?
It's like everyone else...an opinion. And it's good to challenge and discuss an opinion. I haven't been an anti O type, but he's hitching his wagon to this decision of his. He is really putting un necessary pressure on himself because one year is inadequate to bash Canada as well. What exasperates me is two things. First, the leak. Someone purposefully leaked this news right before the game with ND. It is a distraction and a negative one at that in an attempt to galvanize anti Canada sentiment. Secondly, it furthers and perpetuates major instability at this major program. Saban, Fisher, Mullen and everyone else will make a barn full of hay out of this next recruiting season. It's gonna be real hard to recruit a QB next year.
. Kiki, could you explain what exactly a Career Defensive Line Coach has to offer a real Offensive Coordinator as far as critiquing something he doesn't understand & knows nothing about? Why would your trust a plumber to do your taxes? What Orgeron has done his entire career, is teach essentially dance moves to Defensive Lineman. Far less complicated than what is seen in one of my Wife's favorite movies "Dirty Dancing".
so why did ed hire him to begin with? we finally had a offense saban had to game plan for, one that made Danny Etling one of the most efficient qbs in the country....let that sink in.... This program desperately needs continuity, not o measuring swinging richards
Canada’s philosophy was well known. And O did say he would stay out of the OC and DC way. He meddled and there was conflict. So yea, I think this is on O. I also hope it’s the beginning of the end for O and Aleva
