With all the problems the state has our governor and legislature focus on this: http://www.businessinsider.com/bibl...y Thursday) 2014-04-17&utm_content=emailshare
I'd say it will never pass but who knows. Stranger things have happened. They should make it a cook book or something about the Swamp or the damn rougarou
The stupid legislators always find a way wave a red flag that says "I AM STUPID AND SO AM I". Deny science, deny Constitutional rights, deny Supreme court rulings. I am astonished that we have so many stupid voters in this state that keep voting for dim-bulb politicians. If the state needed a state book, which I doubt, it should be one of the Pulitzer-Prize winning novels by Louisiana authors, All The Kings Men or A Confederacy of Dunces. Or perhaps the big John Folse Encyclopedia of Cajun and Creole Cuisine. It's a giant history and culture book as well as a cookbook.
Or maybe a collection of cookbooks from the various Junior Leagues? Sometimes the home cook is just as good as the well known chef.
I like'em both. Oh and oysters on the half shell w/ a splash of tabasco... steak almost moo'ing, pounds of mudbugs... hell I just like to eat.
That is hilarious that the Bible would be the selected book for the State that manages to distinguish itself when it comes to crooked politicians.
