Can PP get some snaps on offense too?

Possibly, he did have several drops tonight. And not trying to beat a dead horse here but while he was effective tonight, besides what I said in another post, he was on the sidelines for our final stand because he was too gassed to be out there. Not the place I want my all-american star corner when the game is on the line inside the 10.

No, obviously not. I was certain we were going to lose when he wasn't in for those last two plays--especially when Eugene was holding his hands up in the air like he didn't know wth was going on.

What had me asking wtf more than that was how the 2nd half was like crowton turned off the offensive switch. Like he was happy sitting on a 20 point lead then couldnt get anything going when we found oursleves having to. Which is what pisses me off about Miles... he's too conservative. Ridley will be a great back once he learns how to keep his hands ont he ball... he was sailing to an easy 100 yard game if not for the turnovers.

Man, you better be lucky Patrick Peterson even sees the field returning the ball.

You should have better sense than to know we won't use our best athletes on the field offensively.

All I could think of last night was Desmond Howard.

Was it Claiborne or 15? It looked like a zone and the pass was in the deep third of the field, safety responsibility. Often in a blown coverage the closest guy isn't responsible.
15 was also beaten badly on the next TD pass. He plays like Chad Jones without Chad's speed and talent to make up for miss plays.:geaux:

Its really on Taylor, because they both bit on the playaction, Taylor was damn near at the line of scrimmage. A safety over the top and that play doesn't happen. If Mo got beat on a double move, well that happens but thats what the safety is there for.

Nobody has mentioned yet that every defensive starter NC had out also played return coverage. I thought Randle and Brooks did just as good of a job on the few returns they had as PP's. The numbers game just gave him the chance to take one the distance. I didn't like him out of the game...not a bit. He's a leader out there a difference-maker on our defense. He went out ONCE last year, and Bama scored in a matter of seconds. If he can't play return man AND every snap at CB, then he needs to let somebody else take the kicks.

i have a hard time seeing desmond when i see patrick peterson on returns. He could fit desmond in his front pocket.

i cant even think of a guy his size in the nfl returning kicks. we'll have to compare him to himself.

taylor really had a bad game. or so it seemed he was the one biting but its hard to tell with safeties who was really in the wrong.

How many total return yards did PP end up with? I know he had 243 at half, yes?

also, im pretty sure i heard musberger call him patterson late in the game--again.
