At first, I thought this would be a good idea, but if he returns kicks and punts, plus plays O and D, he'll be burnt out by game 4. Not only that, but he was already cramping up just playing the way he did tonight. (What's up with that anyway? I KNOW he practically ran a marathon tonight, but we saw the same thing last year). So much so that he wasn't even in there on the critical last series. Finally, it's hard enough for Crowton to design plays for RS. Can you imagine how confused he'd be if Miles asked him to design some for PP?
Hell no... who ever decided to add him to special teams is a dumb phuk. He was so worn out he wasn't in the game during their final stand.
i'm sure that's what was said about Deion Sanders' coaches. and charles woodson's coaches. and countless other DBs who have also returned kicks.
He's obviously a game maker no matter what position he plays, but at the expense of him not being able to be an effective 2nd half CB... I don't think it's worth it.
30-7 = 23 UNC's final points = 24. The difference between a W and an L. I think that is damn well worth it.
He was effective when in coverage. Peterson scored 1 TD and set up 2 others, so tell me, still not worth it? We don't exactly have great depth and experience at CB but Peterson needs to stay returning kicks. The other CB's will hopefully improve as the season goes on...
