LSU is #7 in the BCS standings, so the Tigers will have to beat Tennessee and hope Kansas, Ohio St. Missouri and/or Georgia Lose. If we beat Tennessee I think we will jump VT. So technically, yes LSU can reach #2, but practically no. Just too much has to happen.

No 2 loss team has ever made it to the dance so far as I know.. I don't see it likely we'll be the first. Better luck next time... As far as I'm concerned we've still had one HELL of a year.

While we're still in it mathematically, realistically we have no shot at this year's NC.

Since we won't get to number 2 and if OU beats Mizzou, WVU will hang 50+ on Pitt we can sit back and enjoy WVU beating OSU worse than Florida did last year.

I think we could do it...West Virginia has had a rough time this year against weaker opponents...even though they pulled away a little bit, Marshall gave them all they could handle for 3 quarters...Pitt can surprise the hell out of them I think...And I dont think Mizzou has a shot at beating oklahoma...

I think that our strength of schedule could get us ranked higher in the harris and AP polls and even the coaches polls if we blow out UT, which I fully expect. No way Pelini lets our D play like that in a CG, and even though they have been good lately, they dont stand a chance against us.

All that leaves is the computers, and If the Right things happen, we could, logically, be in the NCG. I emphasize the IF due to the WVU-Pitt game. OU is a lock to beat Mizzou; they are too complete of a team to lose to them.
