Can Kelly persuade any of our Portal guys to come back

Brennan, Ricks would be huge get backs to start the new era of LSU football. He needs to get to work right away IMO on securing these guys.

 

I heard that Rick's issue is the NIL stuff. LSU needs to wrap their minds around this new world and figure that out.....Ohio St has deals already lined up....

 

LSU has been at the forefront of that, so that doesn't sound right.

 

Yeah I'm sure it's something else, but I'd at least try if I were Kelly.

 

I don’t think we have any shot at retaining Ricks. He is from L.A. so betting he winds up at USC with Riley. I sure would go for Brennan. With Howard coming if either Johnson or Nuss don’t have the
chest to compete then good riddance. If they decide to stay an get beat out they know it’s for 1 yr tops or less if Myles turns out to be fragile like some believe.

 

LSU needs new recruits not players who wanted to transfer

 

To me it looked like Johnson regressed. I think Nuss better fits what we need in the SEC. Walker Howard looks like a stud and better than Arch Manning if you ask me. Brennan lit it up in the COVID year.

 

I agree that Johnson regressed, but I think that's purely a product of poor coaching. Kelly can develop QBs, so Johnson could take a leap forward.

 

It’s quite likely nobody in that qb room fits future plans.
