1982 when we beat #7 Florida State to earn a spot in the Orange Bowl. We knew that a win would put us there and fans brought sacks of oranges. Sideline cops had to keep removing oranges from the field the whole second half. About 30,000 oranges hit the field at the end of the game. Jerry Stoval said that he wished he had a helmet on. The Orange Bowl officials in the Press Box were grinning like Cheshire cats.
