That's how many carries that Warren dude had for Texas and he got 275 on them. The passing game, fuck it man. It's not like Harris is gonna just come out and be someone different. He sucks, I wanna see Fournette get 2000 first.
I think he has a legitimate shot at it actually. This much I know, Les isn't going to throw it a bunch. Partly because we haven't developed a passing game thus far so well, we kind of suck at it. The other reason is because, well, we kind of suck at. With the season being in the toilet already the team has absolutely nothing to play for, may as well make this the goal. Tech will be up for the game because they get to take a shot at an "SEC big boy" ha little do they know... They still tackle like shit so he has a shot. I'm going to break character and say good ol Les has em fired up and he does it. At least I hope. I'd like to see him keep feeding it to 7 until he gets it.
I think it will also depend on the ability of the defense to keep it close. If TT scores seven on every drive we might see more passing from Harris, not that it's the formula for winning or anything
Henry had 4 sub 100 yard games and the press based Fournette's 1 subpar game against Bama as a measuring stick. They r so hypocritical.
I don't get this. Yes, he had four games where he rushed for less than 100 yards. One of those games was against Arkansas, a team that Fournette failed to break the 100 yard mark in as well. The other three were all out of conference games: like the 9 carries for 68 yards against Charleston Southern or the 13 for 52 against La Monroe. Do you think these same media members you're criticizing may have looked at the 600+ yards Fournette gained on LSU's OOC games and weighed their impact on the season's numbers? Or, perhaps, looked at conference rushing averages and thought Henry averaging 180 per and Fournette averaging 130 per may have weighed more heavily for one player than the other? There's over 300 yards difference to total rushing yards between the two guys (conference play, regular season.)
No one looks into the numbers that deep who vote. They see winning teams and ESPN and media hype and go with what they are told. It's how it's almost always been. Always will be because everyone votes according to that formula. LF had no shot after losing to Bama and Henry.
