Hard to argue the case for anyone else in my humble opinion.

pretty sure he meant for the season.

    I take Ranaudo, myself.

But Ott is def on the short list either way.

Ranaudo is the number one pitcher in the SEC right now but having Ott as a closer just makes our entire pitching staff that much more effective.

If we can find a little more mid inning relief quality (perhaps with a new star like Jones) then that would round out our pitching staff nicely.

A win and two saves makes for a pretty good weekend. :thumb::thumb:

    Good eye, CLAIR.

Ott was chosen as the SEC Pitcher of the Week.

Ranaudo was chosen as the Nation Player of the Week.

    Congrats to both.

Ranaudo is the MVP if for no other reason than because his good play has allowed Coleman to start.

If Ranaudo was only a 4-5 inning a game guy, Coleman would have had to stay in the pen to mop up.

But when there are only 5-6 weekend bullpen innings available now, Mainieri can patch things together more easily to get the ball to Ott and Bertuccini and now Chad Jones, I guess.
