Y’all don’t get it. It’s about making your current staff feel welcome and want to stay here. This is not About the potential 10 win season which is a hell of a job by the current staff!

Presumably, Canada was been coaching and developing Brennan and Narcisse since he got the job. I would hate for them to have to go back to day one and learn a whole new system starting this spring.

I don't believe that an upper level Power 5 team is going to hire Canada to the head coaching job at this stage of his career. He most likely would have to take a G5 job with a pay cut from what he is making now. If the offense rolls next year and the Tigers make a serious playoff run his resumes would be greatly enhanced.

Just my .02 but I think you are overthinking this. O is nowhere close to being a wordsmith and I think this just proves it. I agree with whomever said it was out of context because I think it is. Could there be bad blood between them? I have no idea, we never really found out what the supposed "fight" was about or if it was even true. In any case there are 4 SEC jobs that look to be open and who knows how many others. The vultures will come. Sit back, buckle up, and enjoy the ride. It will all shake out in the end.

I’m hoping I am overthinking this but I got
Bad feeling about it. Also why make a comment in regards to possibly promoting Ensminger? You obviously didn’t think Ensminger was the man for the job when you brought in Canada.

E doesn't want the job. He said as much last year.

Totally agree. Who's going to hire him? Ark? Arizona State? FU? Their fan base would revolt.

I have a feeling that would change if he were paid like an LSU OC instead of a TE coach.

They are never going to pay Ensminger $1.5 million.

Really? You yourself have been all over the place this season. You went from defending offensive production for every aspect that was there, to standing on the edge to let O go, to O has got this and it doesn't matter who the coordinator is, bringing in a certain brand of recruits?

    Women...on their periods??

You have made some good observations over the course and that's great, but you have proven to be equally as reactionary as anyone else and yet, you label others, just the same. Pick a road dude and stick to it. Had you stuck to the mantra that O was a great consideration for the hire and stayed there, label away. But you were inches from jumping over O even after the Florida game.

Or be reactionary, just like you have along with many others and take the season for what it is. Folks can legitimately be up in arms over the potential loss of a coordinator who, in his first season, with the hand he was dealt, far exceeded the expectations we have all come to suffer under over the last GD decade.

If the statement means anything, it means Canada is an attractive choice given all open jobs minus UCLA. He will be courted by someone equally as frustrated in offensive production as we were before the divorce. Does that make him a good hire for an HC position or just someone's desperate need?? He has 1 season with LSU. ALL he has proven is we can't suck in the way we have for almost 10 years. IF he is legitimate HC caliber, he first needs to prove it with a recruiting class, a first-year starter at QB and erasing a decade of taint getting wood over a remarkably stale offense in a program befitting that of a national championship team on paper. For Canada to be seriously considered a HC, he first needs to accomplish what he started right here at a school equipped to leverage the success of a team that could do his legacy a hell of a lot of good.

Likes and dislikes for the current HC don't really factor into a career decision when your career is still building. It has been proven that if O gets in the way of coordinator success, Aleva will just have to set em down and have that talk again. Now, how remarkably upsetting can that possibly be?
