Yeah, that would be pretty childish, actually. The end of the Mark Brunell era is finally over, and I don't think it came soon enough for Redskin fans. At least they get to see what Campbell can do for the last 7 games and then evaluate him going into next season.
I guess it's more like I'm expecting him to fail, rather than hoping. He had that one great year, while all of his other years were pretty mediocre at best, yet he went in the 1st round. I was pretty surprised.
I don't see why not. If you can't be childish while watching a game then when can you be? He will get his millions regardless. (i.e. Aaron Brooks)
I actually have a lot of respect for the guy. He stuck with the program at Auburn and did not complain. When he finally got his chance, he made the most of it. I hope he does well.
I really think Campbell has what it takes to do well in the NFL. It's too bad he's getting thrown into the fire without Portis.
What do you mean stuck with Auburn? He was starting for a year or two before his senior year, not like he was riding the pine for 4 years until he got to play. He had lots of chances, didn't make anything of it until his last year in 04.
He had four different offensive coordinators during his time at Auburn. He never really was able to settle into any particular system. At times, things did not look so good but he stuck with the program. He played hard for whomever the OC happened to be at the time. Always gave his best effort. When Borges arrived, Campbell took advantage of the stability. He thrived during that year, his senior year. All of his hard work and effort up until that point paid off. I thought you claim to know everything.
Still, you made it sound like he was in a terrible situation there by "sticking with the program" when in fact he was a starter. If anything, he's lucky that Auburn stuck by him. "The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing" -Socrates
