He wasn't supposed to be available at 24 so you get value and at a position of need, can't argue with that. There must be a ton of concern with Bower's knee for him to still be on the board. Guy was considered a top 5 pick talent.

Love it. He'll add a much needed pass rush and depth to D-line

More of a run stopper than a pass rusher from what I'm seeing.

He's not really much of a pass rusher at all.

That's not certain just yet. Remember he played 5 tech in cal's 3-4. His job wasn't to get as many sacks as their OLB. His job was to hold up the tackle, make plays in the running game, and try to keep the rush linebacker free.
    I think he'll shine in the 4-3

I like the pick. We were able to pick up good value and fill a big need. I am not partial to the speed rushers and favor bigger DE's that can do it all. There were several teams that ran right through us at times last year. The pass rush wasn't our only problem.

Know what you mean, but the Super Bowl team got after QB's pretty well without a dominant pass rusher. They did it by forcing teams to play from behind and by putting them in obvious pass situations. If Jordan (along with Shaun Rogers) can force more of the second, we'll be fine.

And isn't Wilson, the LB from Illinois, supposed to be a big-time pass rusher?
