I'm not a fan of Cam and will be rooting against him in the NFL. I think he can succeed if he works hard and goes into a good system. If he has a creative OC along with a solid O-Line and RB, he can be successful. If he gets drafted by a franchise lacking direction and talent, then he will likely fail no matter how hard he works to improve.
If he has to rely on just his running ability to succeed his career will be very short. There is a reason why running backs only average four years in the NFL. Nothing will make a linebacker get more fired up than to see a qb try and run. Cam will be killed every weekend and eventually put out of the game. You can't run a read option running qb style offense in the NFL. Your qb will be killed.
I don't like Carolina or Cam Newton so I'll be hoping the Saints kill them both!!! I wonder if they'll pay him more than Auburn.
Good for the Panthers! ROFLMMFAO @ some of the comments.... Lets see what he can do to help the Panthers!:thumb:
"With the first selection in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers have selected................Jamarc....er uh... Cam Newton, quarterback Auburn University." Excellent, whatever throws Carolina further into the gutter is good with me.
