I don't know if anybody saw this but it proves the Newton is not a NFL QB [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GqGLPh9PoY]YouTube - Gruden's QB Camp: Cam Newton[/ame]
I had no idea that he was moving to France. That's certainly going to make the transition to the NFL more difficult.
He's not really moving to France Gruden just meant that he was going to have to learn how to call a play using terms he has never used or heard in his life so been in a huddle or film room it is gonna be like being in France
HA! Yea... But really on the thread topic, Cam does not have the knowledge of the playbook and this is not something he can pick up in one season. On a side note I would like him to play against the Ravens and run into Ray Lewis.
Yeah, Gruden really seemed to be driving home the point that Cam is going from a system with virtually no playbook to one that will involve hundreds of pages. He also seemed to be very sarcastic with his reactions in the drills. Cam was all over the place, and even went to the wrong side in the last drill (unless I misunderstood the objective).
After gruden called an NFL play, he asked "the icon" newton to call an auburn play. Silence, then "36". Yeah, please Carolina...pick him #1
I would imagine a lot of guys out of college face this though. That's why you don't see rookies that start very often.
Newton very well may go down the same road j. Russell did. Once he gets his hands on NFL millions he will flop IMO.
