Execution was our problem last year, plain and simple. When Mett was on, his receivers couldn't catch a cold and vice versa. Our OL had major injuries/defections, etc. We didn't score TD's in the redzone, which was probably the worst part of all.
Red zone O was literally our downfall last year. A TD instead of a missed FG beats the crimson turd. TDs instead of FGs changes the Fla game. Look at it this way: We were 3 TDs in the red zone from Stud remaining at OC.
Interesting to look at it that way! I agree with your post and Stacey's post re execution, and the red zone issues. Would like to think with Cam at the helm and with an experienced Mettenberger we don't see too much of that this year. Those two losses could have easily been wins...
You know me too well, yes I was. When you are using some of the same formations and their are 15 or more plays out of it, we are not running the same offense.
Don't know if anyone knows this, LSU has been working with the WR's having the defensive backs jamming on the line. Making sure that the receiver are getting off the line. They are also working some of the same formations from last year, but running around 15 plays from those same formations.
