Lots of negativity the day of signing a top 5 recruiting class. I was disappointed it didn't finish as strong as predicted, but it's still a great class. As far as the OC thing, I'm glad they put a lid on it, loose tongues screwed the pooch last time. Just do something behind closed doors and then announce it like a competent administration would. Applewhite would be a move in the right direction, but like I said earlier, I'm through getting excited about any Miles offensive hire.

Returning a ton of starters and talented depth at most positions, a junior QB, Aranda at DC and a top 5 recruiting class. Things aren't that gloomy. Even Miles will have a hard time screwing things up this season, although I'm sure he and his Fred Flintstone offense will give it a shot.

 

I cant get bummed out about a top 3 recruiting class. The hype is the fault of fans and recruiting sites. I get the frustration of not coming out on top as expected but signing day is just the beginning of this class of athletes, and as the saying goes it's not how you start but how you finish. Today's ranking will be irrelevant in four years. I just want to see it translate to wins on the field. I'll reserve my Miles bashing for how they finish if it's warranted.
