Les Miles' team - he recruited it, he hired the coaches for it, he's coached it - just went 4-0 against a respectable schedule by beating a Top 25 team, who will likely be the Big East champions (not saying a lot there, but it is something).

The offense is stinking because of mistakes (penalties) and a struggling QB.

The haters (led by their captain - you know who you are) blame Miles for the penalties.

Really? LSU had only 5 penalties against Miss State and 3 against Vandy - was somebody else coaching then?

Then the haters call West Virginia's defense suspect.

Really? Based on what? Their stats seem to indicate that they are at least respectable.

This LSU team has one problem - the passing game. That problem exists between the ears of one player.

I know some Texas fans, Ole Miss fans, Tennessee fans, Georgia fans - even an Oklahoma fan or two - who would laugh derisively at the angst over a fairly dominating defensive win against an offense like West Virginia.

All this crap about coaching is just one thing - irrational hate.

How's hate taste, anyway? A couple of you should know -- you're over-indulging in it.

Everything that goes wrong is clearly Miles sole responsibility. Anything that goes right is dumb luck. How do you not know this. Every person around me in the stadium was saying so.

I just wanna yell at GC.

yes JJ played bad, but he was spot on the first half and then took his turn in the second..

I just wanna add to the problems that it is passing and coaching IMO...

The 6 pens really set the tone on O sadly and the D had some early too..

    Gotta clean it up..

funny how you don't mention the UNC game. 8 penalties. Also, what do you think about the option play? Only 1 running play for Shep? Having a struggling QB throw the ball on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd down late in the 4th quarter when Ridley was the only offense working. How's that for play calling? Also, after 2.5 years, when can we expect this coaching staff to put an adequate QB on the field? When are you gonna wake up?

Penalties are part of the game, and every one of the penalties LSU had were player errors that young players make. Nothing to do with coaching, just like the 3 and 5 penalty games had nothing to do with coaching. Had they been delay of game, tons of illegal substitutions, etc., that's different - that's coaching. 90% of the penalties last night were based on players playing hard.

I criticize Miles all the time. I've criticized his stubbornness. I criticize the amount of times he lets Jefferson run, the option play, the refusal to give Lee meaningful snaps.

Everyone has a right to their opinions. I have a right to call a hater a hater - a person who never gives credit and consistently (almost incessantly) jumps immediately at the first negative moment in order to lay blame on the same person or group of people, even when the argument makes absolutely no logical sense.

    That's a hater. Don't like haters.

No doubt that corncob between JJ's ears gets bigger each week, but the receivers could help him out at least a little. Dropped passes aren't helping.

Maybe it's time to start Lee and bring JJ in off the bench. Used to work for Marcus Randall.

Maddening is the only way to describe this team, and in many ways the resemble the 2007 Nation champ team, which got the nickname the "Cardiac Cats" for a reason. Playing tough opponents close to the vest and pulling out last minute miracle victories. A10-2 season will not get us to the MNC but it might get us to the SECCG, which if we do I don't care how we got there as long as we do.

I agree 100% but watching Sat night watching a college level QB is not what I was watching on the LSU side.

I know that Les is loyal to a fault. I see nothing wrong with how the team is being coached except the denile of a major problem. Les needs to protect JJ by running a base 2 QB system at least and allow JL to take this team over.

JJ falls in a hole and he does not take bad things happening well at all.

My respect for Les has not faltered but my desire to watch JJ have one more game like this hurts me. I would hope it would hurt Les.
