    My new personal favorite:

And for those of you who think these are only posts from BYU fans with sour grapes:

Thanks. The mis-allocation of blame is really starting to bother me.

It really doesn't matter who quarterbacks this team. As long as Gary Crowton is the offensive coordinator our offense will suck, and Gary Crowton will make the quarterback look awful no matter who it is.

Of course, someone is going to weigh in and say that Matt Flynn didn't suck, but in Crowton's first year with the exception of the pistol package and a read option passing package, Miles made Crowton keep Fisher's offense because Matt Flynn had spent the previous 4 years in that system and it wouldn't have been fair to Matt Flynn to pull the rug out from him the year he was finally going to start.

Bottom line is as long as Gary Crowton remains at LSU as OC the offense is going to stink big time. Miles didn't do his homework before hiring that loser and now we are all paying the price big time.

So what you're saying is, that during Crowton's best offensive year at LSU Miles was handcuffing him. Imagine that. And we've seen the result since the handcuffs were removed.

This thread and these quotes about Crowton from BYU have been posted here numerous times. It is old news......we get it, they did not like him, some of us do not like him, but at least get NEW material to support why. Crowton may suck, but Jefferson could make Shawn Payton look terrible at the moment.

Anyone remember the Kentucky game we loss in 2007? In the second quarter Charles Scott ran roughshod over them and could not be stopped. Then in the second half, Scott remained inexplicably on the bench until the last play of the game when Hester got hurt. Meanwhile, Crowton ran the same damn play up the middle three straight times in a row to lose the game. :insane:

bhelm said a while back that Miles called the plays vs Auburn last year, which was the only game where our offense was productive. I find that odd and somewhat hard to believe b/c Miles has never struck me as an X's and O's kind of guy. However, if true, then he needs to take over from here on out.

Now that I think about it, if the above statements about the 2007 season are true, then maybe it isn't so hard to believe that Miles called the plays vs AU. Maybe we have our own offensive mastermind already roaming the sidelines. Maybe THIS is the change that we need to make! Hey, I'm just trying to be optimistic.

Yep. I remember all too well. Crowton is effing notorious for that sh*t. He did the same thing to poor Kieland Wiliams damn near every game that the kid made a good play. I specifically remember this happening in the Auburn game in 2007. Kieland made a beautiful run for a TD on a screen pass from about midfield. Then he was apparently kidnapped. Oh, did I mention that we had to pull the game out on a last-second TD pass?

it could very well be crowton given all i have read here. but the bottom line is, miles is the ceo of this team. if it isnt working, it is up to him to put a stop to it and demand changes. that isnt happening.

i dont like crowton. i think he sucks. but if miles isnt demanding changes, he isnt doing his job as head coach.

imo, there is plenty of blame to go around.

The other supporting piece here is how improved our defense has become under a new DC. To me, it is exactly the same thing. We all cringed with the naming of the co-DCs, then bitched and moaned throughout the subsequent horrible year we had on defense, then change coord's and bingo after a year of actually being coached up and improved talent recognition, we are fantastic. It's the same thing with our OC. CLM lets his coord's coach their respective side of the ball, and "manages" the team. He is not that involved with the playcalling or direct coaching of the QB, I believe. Once we move on to another OC, it will become crystal clear to all. CLM is to blame for allowing all of the wasting of talent, and lack of progress on offense, for sure, but the actual lack of offensive execution (i.e. playcalling, offense teaching, etc) is all on CGC, the Wizard.
