Yeah, it didn't pass the sniff test that Paul orchestrated this. Although it doesn't really pass the sniff test that they didn't talk to him at all about it. If that's true, I gotta think that they're in full on business mode looking to shed costs and eventually move the team.
Heard yesterday that they would most likely end up in Seattle. I really doubt that part of the rumor.
CP3 got hurt today. It looked pretty bad. I just don't think that Avery Johnson will be the best coach for CP3.
Avery Johnson is a micromanager and a control freak. Everything must be done his way and that led to his downfall in Dallas even though they had good teams every year that he was out there. CP3 is so talented and creative in the court that as a coach you just need to let him loose because good things will happen. I just don't see Avery Johnson letting CP3 be CP3.
You gotta hope that guys learn from their mistakes, coaches included. Coaches like players need to learn that and when the given the opportunity for a new job, you start fresh and do things differently. CP3 might not need the direction, but the rest of the team sure does. In fact, AJ is EXACTLY the kind of coach this team needs. CP3 seems to be by himself on the team as far as missing Byron Scott, too. Even David West thinks it was long overdue. I have a feeling that he'll get over it. I'm sure there are other good coaching prospects out there. AJ just comes to mind because of his success in Dallas and ties to NOLA.
You make good points but you gotta wonder that with the success that he had in Dallas why he hasn't been able to find a coaching job in two seasons.
