I guarantee you every team in the NFL knew his actual condidtion. Or at least every team that had even a 1% interest in drafting him.
so you think a team would draft a man in a coma? Dream on. A positive marijuana test makes a guy slide 15-20 picks, much less a coma.
Ryan Leaf was drafted #2 overall, so yeah...i think a team would draft a guy in a coma. Leaf is still in a coma.
There are different types of comas. They definitely talked to his doctors and got the long term prognosis. Positive drug tests hurt players because it shows that they are effin stupid. Not because they smoke pot, but because they know they have a chance at millions and smoking pot will hurt that chance, yet they still smoke. This is the same guy that will jump offsides or forget the damn snap count. He was drafted in the 7th round. Do you know the stats of how many 7th rounders actually end up making the team? I'm not 100% positive, but I'm pretty sure it is under 40%. They got a guy with 3rd round talent in the 7th round.
Yes. There's absolutely no way they drafted him without knowing his real condition. They know better than to go by what his agent says--and A.J. Smith is one of the better respected GM's in the game.
