Man, I thought about this thread yesterday. The Superviors met with the teachers at my school and chewed on some behinds about "Open book" tests, "Inflated grades" etc. It got ugly. The truth of the matter is that with each teachers' style, there's the human element that factors in with assigning grades. Most teachers (And I say "Most" cause- as much as I hate to say it- there are some bad apples in the profession. Some are the HS nerds that were never given attn. so they love the authority and others close to retirement and buned out) do a certain amount for all students but they can go above and beyond for "Chosen ones". If you have kids in school, don't assume the teacher is always doing the right thing. My father NEVER took my side if there was a problem with a grade, behavior, etc. and my wife and I would never let our kids know if we questioned one of their teachers' actions but you can meet with them during their planning period and/or call them or email. I have one in a Private Middle School and the other in the Elementary Public School Sytem that we plan to move later but, truth be told, I worry more about the Private School cause the Private schools have more lattitude from the State with setting policy and Superivising teachers so don't take it for granted that they're o.k. Develop relations with their teachers and be involved in the school. Just a suggestion- I'll get off my soap box now.
Why did this guy get jumped on for giving us an honest inside opinion? Thanks for the info TomE. Don't let "the clique" discourage you from posting. Contrary to popular belief, it's nice to see opinions from people who don't have to post in every thread.
Because he told us he has a 4.02 GPA but can't spell "suite" correctly. And all the other glaring spelling and grammar problems. He's unreliable just based on that. His info should be disregarded.
I'm the one that did most of the "attacking", and my reasoning is quoted above. Let it go. I did, even after he redded me.
Some high schools have AP classes which you can get college credit for if you participate in these classes you get an extra .02 added to your over all GPA. My high school did this. Sorry I was more worried about providing information that spell checking my post. I am also sorry for not using commas and periods in my post. Your and Fishhead do not know what yall are talking about and both are making it known to anyone who knows about what i am talking about.
No problem, it got reset shortly thereafter. I do know what I'm talking about, by the way. You talking about Co-Eric still considering LSU is what makes it appear that YOU don't know what you're talking about. Show me one link to prove that LSU is considering HIM. He's not on LSU's radar. He's listed as a MSU commit on the recruiting boards I frequent, with no mention of LSU. Even Luther Davis, who is listed as an LSU commit, still has other schools listed on his Rivals page.
I had to ask Co-Eric the specifics he said this is because he committed to MSU after high school, that is why that is listed. He still has 30 hours to complete this semester to allow him to make the jump for JUCO. I do not have a link to support this nor did he know where I could find one. In our locker room he has MSU Tenn. and LSU listed under his name. He seems to change his mind everyday, I never said that he would chose LSU but he said MSU and LSU have the best chances because they are close to home. I can easily see why no one would believe this because i have read many post with nothing to back them up and never believe them, I just hope that maybe people will take into consideration my number of post and realize I do not post on things i do not know about. I am glad Byrd has committed and have heard from my old team mates that he will sign. I know he is not working out with PRCC right now, which I wish he was but hope he is doing alot of work on his own.
