A WR from JUCO, a 5 star according to Scout & 3 star according to Rivals. The only reason Rivals has him as a 3 star is because they haven't paid much attention to him. This guy is going to be good, very good - amazing speed, good route running, solid hands, good blocking. He'll be an immediate impact player for us. Great pickup by the staff!
Awesome news! Certainly a great pick up. He can certainly step right in and play next year. I really like when LSU goes to a 3 WR look. With Doucet, LaFell, and now most likely Byrd, we have a solid threesome of WRs. At least there is some good news to offset the alleged visit by Davis.
To tell the truth, Im worried about LaFell, I know he made an awesome catch in the sugar bowl, it seems he has speed and hands, but what worries me is his size, he looks pretty small on the field, I mean he can get hurt out there!!
Actually, he's 194. But at 6'3", u gotta be at least 215-220 to compete at high levels which LSU competes on. Yes, I want him to be like Bowe, u gotta be a BEAST to make those catches. But seriously, he can get hurt with this size, it's not that Im such a good person worried about him being hurt, but Im worried about incompletions and fumbles, lol!! Nah seriously, wish him the best at LSU, a good and injury-free career.
I agree with what you are saying, but with LSU's program, if they feel he needs weight, then they'll get it on him. :thumb: they wont put a guy out there who is a liability.
The question is: Since he is going to be a starter by fall, can he put on 20-25 lbs during spring??? I highly doubt that.
