That's really not the issue... Its more like a highway where rich and powerful companies can travel at 70 mph and smaller companies can travel only at 50. This is because the rich and powerful companies can pay more money for use of the highway. You can make an argument that the concept above is ok in the eyes of capitalism.
That's just it, it will still be the wild wild west, but not everyone will have the chance to draw down with doc holiday. Having to pay for YouTube will suck
You’re listening to the talking points by the people in favor of it. Big telecom companies are some of the lowest of the low. They will tack on silly fees to just about anything and net neutrality helped the FCC prevent them from doing things like a 20 dollar a month FaceTime fee, or not allowing FaceTime but allowing you to purchase a similar app for a 10 dollar fee. Etc etc Say you like Pandora, but you have Verizon. Verizon doesn’t have a deal with Pandora, but they have one with Songza. Looks like you are stuck with Songza unless you pay a 10 dollar Pandora fee.
One of the advantages of being an old fart is I don't have to worry about all of this high tech shit of today. Cable TV & Internet service does it for me.
You'll be bitching as loud as anybody when your internet slows way down unless you pay more money to your provider.
It’s just laughable that pre 2015 internet companies were just too stupid to figure out how to screw us until the government made a law telling them how.
