I was surprised with the overturn. I didnt think there was enough evidence but I was pleasantly surprised. What a day.
I pretty much agree. As I watched the replays, I thought he had it when he turned his body towards the goal, but my feeling was that there wasn't enough evidence to overturn it. . If we felt like this, you can only imagine what the cheeseheads thought.
We would roll Okie St. By time they realized what kind of team they were playing, it would be way too late.
I thought it was enough but didn't have confidence in a reversal...probably because I'm accustomed to clueless SEC officials. Wisconsin can complain but it was the correct call. Later during the night one of the shows projected the line over the players and the ball clearly crossed the line. I'm glad they got one correct. What a play! They may have had a chance for a FG but PI wasn't called so they resported to the Hail Mary. That kid will tell his grandkids the story 40 years from now. That must be cool for him. I'm not sure if he has a girlfriend but that play has to be worth a few....__________...with the female student body.
I looked at a Badger site after the BCS came out. They were actually OK with #6 and felt that losses by the teams ahead of them that play each other would be their best chance to move up. They weren't cocky at all. I think they know who the big dogs are.
I still can't believe that all the games do not have cameras on the goal line on both sides of the field. And aligned with the sidelines in both endzones. Thank goodness Shep didn't hold the ball higher when he scored last night or his td would have gone to Hilliard. It looked like a TD for MSU last night but I was afraid they weren't going to overturn the call too.
I think this was one of those instances where the refs didn't call the TD but knew the booth would review a play so close. It was pretty obviously a TD--moreso than Ridley's TD after time expired against Tennessee last year.
Maybe in the context of the national football scene, they may not be arrogant. But inside the Big Ten++, it's a different story. This is a team that had their QB catch a pass for a TD when up two scores at home versus Indiana. Save your trick plays for games when you need them.
Once again Oklahoma has discovered that just because college football starts a new season does not mean they will win a NC. I WILL NEVER FORGET the last time their home winning streak was broken,(I was there) a few weeks later Texas beat them, and THEY QUIT, you dont "rebuild" with Adrian Peterson in the backfield. A VERY OVER CONFIDENT team got beat by TT. I think it happens again in Stillwater. Shed no tears...............OU HATES LSU no matter what.
