thats what i am telling you. the articles dont say that. the fox article explicitly says it was because of protests. i am trying to teach you to be careful when you read and not allow them to lead you to conclusions that are not true.

many of the articles, by listing the arrests and also mentioning the canceled trip, are trying to imply a causal connection. this connection does not exist and is denied by the bush adniminstration and more importantly, the swiss justice department.

in order to be biased (like you) many of the articles do not draw a direct line between the two events, they just lead idiots to believe it.

when i read this article i think "cmon, this isnt fooling anyone" but i am wrong. it is fooling potheads and liberals.

i dunno how many times i have to explain this. the guys claiming arrests were not actually cops or agents of the government. do you understand what that means in terms of their authority and capability to arrest people?

serious question. do you believe you could go arrest jimmy carter later this afternoon? do understand why not?

 

this is like arguing with my wife. everything you just wrote, isn't even what is being debated. I never said he would get arrested. I never said they would try to arrest him. What I was doing was quoting many articles. How hard is that for you to understand? And no I don't know if this didn't cross W's mind, just like you don't know, nor does anyone else for that matter. And if you sit there and say that you absolutely know what's on George W. Bush's mind, then you are either God, or an idiot.

I know the Swiss Government has said that he would be treated as a Diplomat with full immunity. I know that the main ones who are trying to even get this arrest thing going is Amnesty International. This is not what's being debated for the 1 millionth time.

Did you read anything from the articles you posted besides the headline? None of the articles from legit news sources are saying what you are saying. Only crazy dirty hippie blogs do.

Fact 1: A bunch of crazy ass hippies called for his arrest.

Fact 2: The Swiss government never said they intended to arrest Bush. They probably have no desire to and know even if they wanted to arrest him the only thing that could come from an attempt is a bloody mess.

Fact 3: The Bush camp said the trip was canceled because it would be too costly to overcome the security threats created by a bunch of crazy ass protesters.

Fact 4: The group sponsoring Bush said they cancelled the trip because of fears of what some of the crazy ass protestors may attempt.

Fact 5: The stupid hippies are saying the trip was cancelled out of fears of arrest.

Do you see that what you are saying and implying is dishonest? Noone except for a bunch of partisan hacks and dirty hippies are saying the the threat of arrest is what caused the trip to be nipped.

So seriously, do you really believe what you are typing? I think you are just trying to see how many responses you can get. Either you are joking or your reading comprehension skills are worse than my spelling skills.

 

His camp said exactly why the trip didn't happen. Because of the security threats associated with protests. That is how I know what is on Bush's mind. How do you know he feard he would be arrested. He never said it. I understand you think you were "quoting many articles," but you were making an interpretation based on what you thought they said instead of what was actually written.

Right. No threat of arrest, but through the use of clairvoyance you can conclude that Bush didn't take the trip because he was afraid of the Swiss arresting him. Makes sense.
