Interesting how every couple of years there is someone who just might sit out and re-enter the draft. Has anyone EVER followed though with this threat?

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/13985811/

Former Heisman Trophy winnner and No. 2 overall draft pick Reggie Bush is considering sitting out his rookie season and re-entering the 2007 draft because of his contract squabbles with the New Orleans Saints, Yahoo! reported Saturday, citing NFL sources.

    Typical.:dis:

Saints won't do what it takes to turn this franchise into a consistent winner and prima donna athletes think they're god before they ever set foot on an NFL field. You can take pro sports and shove 'em up into the sunless world. Give me college and high school sports any day.

I had to look at the login name twice before I realized I really didn't write this. What happened to paying your dues before whining about the contract? Couldn't Dallas use another one of these?? There are no do overs in the draft!!

I think Bush and his agent are smart enough to realize what this would do when it comes to a PR standpoint. Though, this may hurt anyways.

this is a whole lot of nothing

If Reggie was such a money-hound, he wouldn't have volunteered to give so much of his jersey money to the Katrina fund

and if he wasn't committed to New Orleans, he wouldnt have helped build up a few of the neighborhoods, like he has

Jeff Backus closed on a house in suburban Detroit early Thursday afternoon, and several hours later, the offensive tackle agreed to terms with the Lions on a six-year contract with $15.5 million guaranteed.....

    see a trend?

Good observation. He won't sit out. Some people believe everything they read...

And if I'm wrong and this actually does happen, I think it might spell the end of my allegiance to the Saints...
