I’m with you. Seemed kind of weird to hear continuously how down to earth he was, then that ceaseless, fancy music. I’m an Episcopalian, and the (lone) bright beacon of the church has always been very fast funerals. That kind of got pushed aside. Yeah I get some of the pomp, but I hate it when people sing standard, well known hymns, and there are ultra high pitched choir members screeching like cats in heat in the background!
It is the world we live in. I blame TV and Movies for the vast amount of violence kids are exposed too. Also parents have a much tougher time since both work usually now and jobs take a lot of peoples energy. Add the internet and portable phones and not sitting down at the dinner table. We have more communication but do family's spend time together as much. I see my wife's cousin and her husband and they have two kids. Their kids are 5 and 3 and are holy terrors. They say to stop or don't do that but they don't follow up when they do it anyway. Both kids just ignore them. I admit our house isn't that kid friendly because we don't have them but when they come they have broken numerous things that they have been told numerous times not to touch. I had my karaoke out and their oldest had been told not to touch and he got in the back living room by himself where it was and broke the microphones and the glass on the karaoke machine got scratched up by pulling it off the table. I walked back there and I asked him weren't you told not to touch this. He said yes. And I asked him then why did you. He just took off to mommy in the other room crying. They will spend thousands on attorneys for that kid in the future. My dad told me something once. There was no second time because that's when the punishment came. It didn't take me and my brother long to realize if our parents said something they meant it.
I don't understand the criticism of the services. The church was full and to the best of my knowledge no one was forced to watch a minute of it.
Bush will eventually remembered at a deep state minion who was on the wrong side of history. Operation Green Merchant[edit] In 1989, the Bush administration began Operation Green Merchant, a nationwide investigation and operation targeting businesses advertising specialized horticultural equipment that was supposedly used to grow cannabis.[3][4][5] The program also traced lists of customers who had bought such materials, and raided their homes.[6] I also agree with this: I just glanced at the glowing obits being proffered by the legacy media. CNN, The New York Times and others seem quite reverential and respectful of “Poppy” Bush. After all, he was instrumental in furthering an opaque government and the Deep State that now controls most of the media arms. He was the first to promote the “New World Order” that socialists want. Bush was friends with Obama and the Clintons. In fact, the Bushes voted for Hillary, not Trump. Its no wonder the fake media is gushing praise for the globalist H. W. Bush. How in the hell people line up to view his casket rolling by his beyond me. I'll go got of my way to pay homage to someone like Willis Carrier, but not that thing.
I waited a week. I was not a fan of his and have said so several times. I realize that death creates the foggy lens syndrome but man, the press who hated him for a very long time couldn't seem to lick his arse enough the last several days. Yes, it's good to remember the good things one has done but not once this week was there a mention of his short time leading the CIA, he got a pass for his time kissing asian booty in China, and got fanned like a grecian goddess for his time kissing world arse at the UN. And yes, he embraced Hillary and the big-eared one over the last few years, admitting he voted for the dumb bitch. Sorry but no stories about being a great husband, father, gampy, whatever will make me forget his ENTIRE past.
