I would have posted the same thing if it was you posting something that simply isn't true. Perhaps you don't mind fans posting things that are made up. Personally, I don't abide bullshit.

college still uses the old NFL rule (they changed it because it’s stupid).
has to maintain all the way through the fall, which he didn’t.

i personally hate the way the rule is written.
but by rule, that was incomplete

What happened to the rule that said the ground can't cause a fumble. Chase had clear possession when the football crossed the plane of the goalline.

Assuming this is true. LSU's coaches displayed situational awareness and made a smart decision quickly.

Plus, maybe we have balls again - going for it on 4th and 1 a couple times.

    I'm going to faint.

ground not causing fumble is a different rule altogether.

the “catch” has to be completed before a “fumble” could take place.

and for it to be a catch, he has to maintain control through contact with the ground. ball actually hits ground and moves (meaning no longer in clear control) before he secures it during the roll. Does not matter if he crosses goalline (or sideline, first down marker, etc.) during said act.

which is why the team went hurry up on next snap.
because a review would have most likely overturned the catch.

He bobbled it after he hit the ground. If he's deemed a receiver and not a runner he has to continue the catch after hitting the ground and maintain control of the ball. Which he didn't.

Not if hes considered a runner, right? He already performed the catch if I recall.
I'll have to see it again to be sure. But it comes down to that, yes?

Apparently Marky Mark didn't think it was even worth a challenge, which wouldn't have shown enough evidence to overturn it...wait for it...

    because it was a catch!

I didn't see that. He highpointed the ball with two hands, turned and went to the ground with the ball still in both hands, rolled over and held the ball up in the air with one hand, his left I believe. There is no way that is getting overturned. Catch, ALL DAY, just like Adrian Peterson

Probably not a catch by today's standards. Good work by the coaches either way. I was pissed they were in hurry up.
