This reminds me of a my HS alma mater the year after I graduated. The 1999 Central High Football team was 7-0 and cruising for the first time in....well, probably ever. The week of the Catholic High School @ Central High School game, everyone in school wore little stuffed Bears hanging from a noose around their necks and then had a bonfire pep rally the day before the game where they burned a huge stuffed bear on a stake. It was crazy fun...wished I was still there at the time. Then Catholic beat us something like 53-7. I considered it a lesson learned.
