my question is why is it that Bama fans clammored Les was winning with Nick's players, but don't clamor that Nick is winning with Shula's players? b/c yes, Bama does play a lot of young guys, but the heart of their team is still indeed Shula's players.
because the team doesnt look the same. miles' teams looked like saban teams mainly because some of the same coaches were still there. sabans teams dont look like shula teams, that is why. plus a lot of players that were on shulas teams that didnt do much have moved positions and are quality players. of course most think that it is just easy for a head coach to come in and take over a program. they dont see those days in march and april when les is working his ass off in his office all day long. well, they dont see him in august either so it really doesnt matter i guess.
first of all its not the hail mary i was pissed about even though travis daniels just stood there like an idiot and watched it, it was the fact that matt flynn started that game, then marcus randall came in, and when jamarcus finally got put in the game, we took the lead. you tell me that his head wasnt in miami. he could have cared less about that game, and thats what pisses me off. One blown coverage does not make a game, it was a string of piss poor calls throughout the game.
Didn't care, thats why he ran at Prude an got in his face for blowing the coverage after the game was over. Sure he didn't care at all. And please tell me what during the season inspired anyone to think that any of the QB's had really seperated themselves during the season. I saw flashes of brilliance by both Marcus and Jamarcus throughout the season, but I also saw a bunch of crap from both. He was giving Matt his chance to impress. And if he really didn't care, he would have left Matt in the game. He also wouldn't have left the new coach (Miles) with pages of notes on the players he was inheriting.
Show me some evidence of Saban running and getting in Prude's face after that game, because i didnt see it. I saw him running to congratulate the Iowa coach. and the part about Matt, in a ****ing bowl game? i know to some the cap 1 game dosent mean much, but LSU fans, it means a whole hell of alot. I wonder if Miles is gonna start JJ in whatever bowl game we are in this year, if Lee and Hatch are both healthy. That was a stupid move, by a guy who was on his way out and didnt care if he lost or not because his fat paycheck and house in miami were waiting for him regardless.
Uh, that was my last game as member of Tiger Band/ undergrad, it sure as hell meant a lot to me. That hail marry and dogpile happened right in front of me. I watched Saban go shake hands and then made straight for Prude. You never know he is the Hat, he might do it, but then again he may not. He's the coach and knows what is best for the team. Sure as hell knows a lot more about the players than you or I today just like Saban knew more about those guys on the 04 team. I see you never answered my question, which QB on our roster had proven himself that year, and you were unable to refute the fact that Saban took the time to help out the incoming coach. If he was so focused on Miami and leaving, he never would have done that.
