My take: I don't hate Nick, and neither do any of my friends. We really respect him as a coach and for what he did for our program. I will "pull" for whatever is best for LSU. It is not best for LSU for Bama to win a NC. I hope they lose. I hope they lose to LSU. If not, I hope they lose to AU for the nth time. If not, I hope they lose in the SECCG. If not, I hope they lose in the NCG, no matter who they play. Bama winning a NC will help their recruiting, which will hurt LSU. It's all about LSU!
Bama, but we seem to be the only conference fans that do that. Hopefully y'all did the same. Should be noted, I not a big fan of the big 12 and I can't stand the Big 10
I know that i run the risk of being labeled a troll for being a first time poster... but... I definitely cheer for the SEC in the NCG. I was in St Louis when UF was waxing OSU a couple of years ago... rubbing it in... "where is this new found Big-10 speed??..." I also very much enjoyed your pasting of them last year! SEC! I dont fault fans for having certain teams that they dont cheer for. That's what a rivalry is all about. however, I think that conference pride is something that the rest of the nation doesnt have like we do!

I dont buy into that conference love crap either, it does zilch for LSU. I would pull for Bama over well I dont know............that list would be pretty short but Im sure there is someone I would pull for BaMA over. Has nothing to do with Saban BTW. It has more to do with that fat lady at Dennys in Prattville. How does it help LSU for Florida or Bama to win the NCG? It just makes their recruiting compete better agaisnt us. The SEC is not a team, its a conference. I wish people could figure that out.
If it is Bama v. Penn State, I hope PS wins because Paterno deserves it. If it is Bama v. Texas Tech, I hope TT wins because they deserve it as a hell. If it is Bama v. Texas, I hope nobody wins and both QBs knock their draft status down. Or I could just say I hate Alabama and won't pull for them ever because the all we will hear for the next year is "We have 13 National Championship Trophies! Team of the Century!" Skrew off Bama. Well.... that is one reason why a 2 loss team makes it into the NCG. if the conference is viewed nationally as THE strongest conference, then 1 or even 2 losses still garner respect! depends on how I feel that day and who was playing. I pulled for Florida over OSU but I just dont like the Luck eyes it had nothing to do with the SEC. If Bama played Texas, id probably pull for the Horns, my cousin went there and she is a Babe! LOL
First, let me say, I don't dislike Saban or have ill will. I think the coach LSU has now is better. And when Nick wins 11 games 3 straight years, then he can talk to me to say otherwise. But it's like this. And I'll explain it real clearly, so even you can understand it: Imagine you have a girlfriend (or boyfriend depending on your preferences), and imagine you two break up cleanly. No big deal. You're a little bit hurt, but you get over it. Then imagine 2 months later, that girl starts to date your best friend. You see the problem? I am not saying Bama is LSU's best friend. But the point is that LSU fans wanted him to just go away... and now he is in a position to where he is all we see and he is impossible to avoid.
