Their linebackers are the glue that holds that defense together. I think River left already painted a target on his back and now it's bigger, plus Alabama knows DPete doesn't like to get his uniform dirty.

no, but they have enough confidence in themselves that i dont think some trash talking will get in their heads.

now being laid out a few times and wondering what kind of hit is coming next, that will get in their heads. but i dont think a team that is confident in themselves can get rattled by something like this. just as i dont think it would rattle lsu. i think if anything, with either team, it will just help them focus on the task at hand.

Exactly! Intelligence can be a huge weapon for a player to use. If those tweets are legit Peterson just showed a lack of.

It doesn't sound like it. And then he goes out and says the same damn thing to a reporter for the Picayune. It doesn't make sense.

"If they guard me with a linebacker, I'll get open."

It almost sounds like he wants to be covered by a strong safety instead. That might put a big, slow linebacker covering an even speedier back slipping out of the backfield. Or put a wide receiver in single coverage downfield.

    You don't think Les . . . naaaaaa . . .

This is what I've been thinking. Shepard has proven himself to be downright deadly in the flats. Beckham, too. This is a good match-up to exploit. We may even be able to decoy this play and parlay it into something else completely.

They are also in college and are supposed to be learning how to use their brain. He obviously needs a few more classes.
Saban is a very good coach, but is way overrated by many. His defenses never could cover the RB in the flats or the middle of the field, no matter how many times the other team burned them with it. I hope Miles has a few passes to the RB in the play book.

That Gator running back repeatedly sneaking into the middle of the field stills haunts my nightmares.

    It sure has ....

Apparently people forget, Bama has been slow out of the gate the last two games. Went in the Half tied with TN ... and wasn't up by much on Ol Piss either.

That's not the sign of a "disciplined" team ... that is the sign of a bunch of kids who have let it all go to their heads, and are not focused on the task at hand until after alarm bells go off.

Bama has another thing comming if they think they can beat this LSU team with just one half of play. Ain't gonna happen.
