Buckeyes decline title bid, explore other options

    Actually its a dumb post. And personally I think the LSU fans on here have been great.

    The title to this thread reminds me of Ohio State’s participation in the Liberty Bowl.
    They were here twice, 1981 and 1990. Both times the Ohio State players and fans really turned off the local folks and carried an attitude that they were better than the lowly Liberty Bowl and poor old backwoods Memphis. Few if any Ohio State fans were here and there were reports of some of the Ohio State players not even showing up for pre game events around town. Needless to say, the locals were not too impressed with the Buckeyes.

    The final results for the mighty Buckeyes who were to good for the game –

    1981 – they squeaked out a 31 - 28 win over mighty Navy.

    1990 – that perennial powerhouse Air Force won 23 – 11.
