Went on their website where they invite you to come post. I post that the SEC is a better conference but that they would be a top team in the conference, you would have thought I slapped there momma. Jeez I think they get more dialed up over conferences than they do the game. They act like TENN, ARK, and GA are a joke. One guy asked what has GA done lately. And one guy implied that because Wisc. beat ARK last year and we lost to ARK. that we would lose to WISC. It's on Buckeye planet under "YOU GUYS DON'T UNDERSTAND THE SEC".
Did you start the topic? If you did, what did you expect? And the fact that you posted the SEC is a better conference tells me that you seem to be more "dialed up over conferences" than the game also.
I don't know if it is just me but if somebody came into our home and said the Big10 was better then the SEC but offered us the consilation prize that we would still be a top team in the Big 10 I know people here that would tear them up one side and down the other. It is fun to go to other fans boards at times but remember you are in thier home. Maybe if you woulnd't have started a thread but tried to make your point in the thread that had already been started (I'm sure there are some, there were last time I went there-a couple of weeks ago). But starting a thread makes it look like you may be trolling. We may know you are not but they don't and until you establish yourself you have to watch your p's and q's. Just my opinion though! :thumb:
I agree, I probably shouldn't have said it. And I am not dialed up about the conferences it just got to me when I read all these Big10 vs. SEC posts they have. It's like they completely disregard what everyone says, including coaches. And use bowl games to justify their conference. Everyone knows your not going to get that great of a natchup outside the BCS. I don't have SEC beer goggles on, it's obvious. They completely disregard TENN and GA, one of which could have been their conference champ this year. Tenn is just having a cuple of down years, what about 8 teams in their conference, are they having a down decade. I am not trying to trash OSU but they truly believe the Big 10 is better. At some point you have to be realistic, like hello our basketball team is sucking.
I actually don't like confontation, but you wouldn't know it by my last post over there, but out of respect for their good fans I will not go back. But I will say that some guy over there from here made the remark that we haven't dominated all year. Which proves my point we are #2 and didn't dominate cause our conference is legit. Just asking how many teams in the SEC COULD beat OSU this year. COULD.
I couldn't find your thread. I guess they may have deleted it. I haven't been on there so I wasn't aware of the threads by them. It seems as though every conference that plays the SEC gets caught up in the conference argument rather than the game. I guess when you know you are the best you don't have to try and prove it to anybody.
I have read alot on that board the last two weeks. I find it to be a pretty good board, with some good discussion. The funny thing is if you change tOSU to LSU and change the colors from red to purple.......it's the same as this forum. I will say this forum is better overall, but the passions for the teams is the same. I think it is easy to forget that and with that in mind you should not be surprised to get hammered for any little slight of their conference or team. Hell I have seen enough people get bent out of shape on this forum over little things, like this post..... here it comes........ :LSU231:

I noticed on that forum that they are very.. uhm.... sensative to the whole SEC > other conferences argument. On another note, I have been rather enjoying the thread about the bands though.. some good video on both sides in there.
Since teams representing the Big Ten are 1-7 all-time against Georgia head to head, one might better ask the question: What has the Big Ten done against GA lately?
