I'd think, at this point, they'd run & hide when they heard those words.

Gee, haven't I heard that before?

That would be incorrect. There would be one thing better...seeing them lose to the same SEC team in 2 consecutive seasons! :)

Tennessee ranked #14? With all their changes with players and coaches I'm not sure I understand how they are ranked so high. Won't there be at least another 4 or 5 players kicked off their team by next fall? Isn't it a stretch for them to win 7 games next season?

If LSU can't repeat, I hope Georgia gets it.

Believe me, there is no lack of apprehension by buckeye fans about what this team needs to do in 2008. Remember, we're not actually the ones on the field, and all we can do is root for our team and try and be as cordial to other fans as possible, bearing in mind that it's a game. We do this every year, as do LSU fans, and fans of every other team out there. Obviously we have struggled the last two bowl seasons, but I have faith that our guys will get it done, Championship or not, and will represent our team, school, and fans honorably (I know there have been some questions here as it pertains to team unity, i expect these to be resolved). We're fans just like all of you, and will root for our team, regardless of outcome, though i'm not surprised that others are questioning that. So be it...

I will say, that I will be pulling for LSU in your conference, as they are the only SEC team that I know enough about their fans and program to feel confident that they represent many of the great things about college football, to honorably represent it. Whether you do the same or not is up to you and not my concern (I thought there was some respect for the fans and the teams during the NC time period, but by the change of tone on the board of late, not so sure that it wasn't lip service).

Side question---any incoming freshman that are expected to make an immediate impact? I know you guys lost some, but I expect RP to be very dangerous, and the other losses to be filled by guys with equal talent, if not experience.

Sorry for the rant, but I can never seem to keep my opinions to myself...

We have 17...yes, 17...that redshirted last season. Many of them are blue chippers...expected to be impact players. Also, we have a pretty good class of recruits from THIS year...including Patrick Johnson, who is expected to be an immediate impact player.

Also, although we lost several seniors...we have RP, Keiland Williams, Charles Scott, Richard Murphy, Brandon Lafell, Demetrius Byrd, Terrance Toliver, Richard Dixon, and Trindon Holliday...all offensive stars from last season...and all of them are sophomores or juniors currently.

On defense, we have Ricky Jean-Francois, Derry Beckwith, Tyson Jackson, Kirston Pittman, Chad Jones, and others...returning to lead the defense...and help the yound guys along.

I'm not sold on Georgia, I wouldn't be surprised if LSU repeats, particularly considering that championship experience and winning are contagious. those RS guys all have the benefit of that experience, whether they played or not, and these things have a way of building on themselves...all due respect, i would love a rematch in next year's title game! particularly as it would incense so many people for us to make it back again next year...although Miami couldn't possibly be as much fun as NOLA, i really enjoyed the interaction with LSU fans, and would welcome a game against a team I respect.
