Like the entirety of the health law, I am going to take a wait and see approach. We are close enough now that rather than speculate we can say, "let's see how it looks on the other side." More than anything else, I think we will have some areas that need improving or areas of the law that need revising, but for the most part I expect that the law will work okay. I am sure that the political pressure, from both sides, will ratchet up exponentially between now and October 1, but the truth will be apparent soon after it's implementation IMO.

I am more inclined to say this, while good intentions aside, is a pile of shit. As referenced by the Dems pushing it back. It's like the more they learn, the more they don't like it.

If they would have just taken their time and read the M Fer this wouldn't be the case.

I think that is an easy opinion to have right now because nothing has been implemented. Delaying the implementation in businesses with over 50 employees is likely more rooted in practicality than politics. As I said before, I'll take a wait and see approach. I would imagine that in the beginning there will be some rough spots but we'll see how it looks when the rubber meets the road.

It should be no surprise that businesses are finding ways around the employer mandate. They always do, when faced with government regulation that will be bad for business. "Rooted in practicality?" Where was that practicality 39 months ago when Congress jammed this mess down our throats without even reading it? And the employer mandate is just one example....here are a dozen more components of Obamacare that are DOA:

LMAO. That's what crossed my mind too. I wish I could remember what I heard today about everyone qualifying for some outrageous benefit due to the fact that it wouldn't be possible to determine who would be eligible for some "free" service. obama is a lot of hot air. If China doesn't ending up owning our azz, this will be his biggest train wreck of all.

This policy is doomed. It will be a disaster IF it ever gets to the rubber meeting the road. I tried to tell you this in another thread but you're hard-headed and don't listen. obama is

You want me to read an opinion piece from the Heritage foundation as proof of your point? Serioulsy?

If you believe that members of congress never read this legislation you are kidding yourself. You are referring to a statement made by Nancy Pelosi shortly before the bill was passed. Republicans have seized on this one statement as evidence that no one read the bill and it simply isn't true. The employer mandate was actually a Republican idea and one that was championed by, and rooted in, the Heritage Foundation. Go back to the 90's and listen to the debate about universal health coverage and you will find that Obamacare far more closely resembles the Republicans plan than the Democrats.

keep dreaming. Republicans have tried every trick in the book to stop the implementation of this and nothing has worked, nor will it.

All of the points of that article are true. It is a point by point fact piece, not an opinion piece. You can draw your own conclusions as to why certain parts of obamacare have already failed or been repealed. You can't pass sweeping legislation based on theory, without missing on parts.

I can't wait to see the big misses on the immigration reform bill.

    Refute their points.

Prove it. And keep in mind, 219 Congressmen voted in favor.

Crap is crap, no matter what party did or didn't introduce it.
