Since I have a 2 thread limit a week I wanted my 2nd Bama thread just to be a general open posting on what you are feeling about the game.

After watching the 2010 game last night and watching the same guys on the field minus the Big Bama 4 at QB,WR,DT,RB. I watched LSU handle the Bama rush and put 380 yards on the great Bama D in the 2nd half.

This Best Ever Bama D has played what great college team?

    Kent State ??

Penn State - have you watched these guys try to make 2 1st downs back to back

    North Texas ??

Arkansas - Vandy game and Ole Miss game - what a joke

Florida - they are really something this year

Vandy - we are talking Vandy

    Ole Miss - yep

Tenn Vols - No QB No RB massive effort

My point would be that all these stats the Gumps are falling all over and Nick is running a NFL D might be a little loaded up with fluff !!!!

I do not think the Bama team is as good as the Bama team of 2010 and LSU is putting one of the very best teams on the field these eyes have seen.

Get ready Bama - we are coming and it is not going to be nice !:hihi::hihi::hihi:

Vegas thinks they are pretty good.
The coaches poll them as a damn good team.
Saying bama is good isn't saying they're better than lsu, just damn good.
We will have our hands full and will have to play our best game of the year so far to beat them. Bama will be ready to play at home. They have been ranked behind lsu all year and have a chip on their shoulder. Lsu should also have a chip on theirs because they are the underdog. It's gonna be a tight game. If our receivers have the drops or lee is off target, we will lose. If we play like we did aginst auburn we will win by 10.

I love the fact that LSU is the unanimious #1 in all polls and yet we are the under dog in this matchup. Keep thinking that and telling BAMA how great they are. Just putting fuel on the TIGER fire that is going to light up Bryant-Denny Saturday night!!!!!GEAUX TIGERS:tigereye:

I was checking out footballoutsiders info and rankings .... bottom line, Bama hasn't seen a team like LSU ... PERIOD!

The strongest offense they've seen is AR ranked at 28th. LSU is ranked 9th. ... Bama 4th. LSU, OTOH, has faced Oregon, ranked 5th. Even WVU is ranked 27th, ... which is one spot better than AR. Penn State, the game everyone luvs to brag about ... is ranked as the 75th strongest O.

LSU is ranked #1 in FEI (.31) ... which my jaw dropped that someone did the same analysis I did .... which looked at the efficiency of a team based on what they would be expected to do. Bama was ranked number 2 and Okie State 3 with .26 and .25 respectively.

All these talking heads can predict all they would like that Bama is going to win ... there is a reason that LSU is ranked #1, and it ain't because people luv us.

Sticking with my prediction ranges LSU (24-31) beats Bama (17-23).

If these are the stats you are using to base your logic on LSU winning, you are smoking some of that Ganja Badger ****... Stats are like bikinis, what they reveal is interesting, but what they conceal is vital.

Well Tappy .. I"m basing my prediction that LSU will win on my own analysis of the situation. One MUST dig deeper when looking at stats. Me being well versed in it ... I don't have to use "other people's" analysis ... like ... eh em ... you probably have to.

You Bama Homers are all over the 6.8 points allowed stat .... I look at that stat and ask, .. against who! Turns out when you adjust for just "who" that 6.8 is against, the number becomes 9.7. Now you are looking at a more apples to apples comparison ... 9.7 vs 11.2 ... less than a FG difference. Facotor in the "garbage yards and scores" that LSU allows at the end of games .. and this match up is not as lopsided as Bama folks would like to think.

The "stats" that people like you use, do most certainly conceal a lot of vital information. Like I said earlier ... Penn State is one of your premier wins ... an offense that ranks 75th in strenth. But in Bama land, that still goes down as holding a ranked team to just 11 points.

Oh .. and there is another reason I think LSU wins ... I don't worship at the alter of Trent Richardson. I don't think he can win this game by himself. I almost have to laugh at these Bama Homers on other boards who think Bama is going to "tire" the LSU defense. ... that's just funny!

Another factor .. Bama's success has gone to it's head, as shown by the slow starts against Ol Piss and TN. You can bet the farm that Bama will NOT beat LSU in one half like they did TN. LSU is just as deep, if not deeper ... and LSU already is in the practice of rotating everyone in. Nother reason ... John Chavis ... every bit if not more of a defensive genius as the blow up doll Saban. AND .. most of all ... Stud and Krags. Their replacing Crowton has been HUGE ... and Crowton BEAT this same defense last year. As I see it, replacing Crowton with Kragsrawa ... negates the homefield advantage you would have had if Crowton would have stayed.
