Im not insulting Saban/Miles, nor am I complimenting either, but Les has yet to bring us to the "next level". Even with our victory today, one SEC is not the next level for us. The fact is we had a great oppurtunity to geaux to the "next level" this year only to lose to Arkansas almost entirley due to poor coaching. I like Miles, but to say Saban had "only one great season", (two really, with consistantly good teams throughout) is ridiculous because even that "one" great season was the epitome of being a fan: Winning the NC. Once again, Im not insulting Miles and saying well never win with him (just like Im not saying Saban should be our only choice for coach) but weve been on the "next level" for a while now (thanks in large part to NS) and the only way to geaux up from here is to win another NC (or two).
The second time around, things are never as good as they were the first time. I don't hate Saban... I will always be appreciative of what he did for LSU. He helped get us to where we are today but with that being said, the Tigers need to move forward. Bringing Saban to LSU again would be taking a step back. With our without Les Miles, we need to move forward and stop dwelling on the past. It's over and it's not coming back.
Nick's sittin in the recliner with all the rest of the redelephants watching the SEC Champs on the wide screen.
