Why isn't he being considered for the job? It's time to get a minority in there as a DC! Now we are looking at Ron Zook and a bunch of no name candidates??? Phuck is this..?
LSU needs to hire the best DC that is available and is willing to come coach at LSU to continue our strong defensive position. Whether it is a minority or not should not be part of the discussion.
I could care less about getting a minority in as DC. If he coaches and we can tackle and not lose in the 4th to the freaking gumps every year, he or she can be purple as far as I care. That being said I get the feeling of promoting Brick may be plan B b/c there isn't anyone else out there. Problem I have is what is the hold up, shit or get off the pot.
Big long thread on another board, with lots of guessing and speculation. From all the smoke and comments by DandyDon, I think Miles has his man identified but they are still coaching. I think we'll hear who it is by Wednesday. FWIW
Soooo you haven't been following the situation have you? There are only about 20 articles and 100 posts about him being considered. The color of his skin shouldn't disqualify or qualify him for the job. He's either the best candidate or not, who cares what color he is.
You do know LSU had the first Minority DC in the SEC, this was years ago. Hes been with the Steelers for a number of years. He was at LSU in the late 80's and early 90.
i remember that. amazingly, les hired him and he went on to become our first black president. actually its john mitchell i believe. he was the first black player at bama.
John was the first to play at bama, Wilbur Jackson was the first to sign with bama. Kind of like Chris Williams and Lora Hinton at LSU.
