This newer Advocate article says that Lane "has been re-assigned to an administrative role within the football program"... http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/37378294.html
Pretty classy of a program to take care of those that pass through their doors. If you had a business would you find a job for someone you replaced until they found another job?
It's not our program owes it to him based on him being on staff for a long time or alumni or anything. They didn't give him a job so that he would have something to do while looking for other work - they expect him to stay on the administrative side for us & take over for Nader.
That makes sense to me. Nader was there when I was a student - which would make him 142 now, I think.
That may be true but I haven't seen it announced that he is taking over for Nader and an administrative role usually means job hunting. Nader has been at LSU longer than the Bell Tower so I imagine there will come a time he needs to be replaced. I just hope if he does stay in that role it's a job he wanted and not one he settled for. It will take some doing to be Nader's equal and he wont be able to do it if he is just settling for whatever job he can get.
