I just read that Westbrook was released. I'm just throwing this out there.

I think he'd be a better pick up than LT. I think that if we could land Westbrook and somehow keep him healthy that he would be NASTY in this offense.

I seriously doubt that we get him, but it's fun to think about and discuss.

    What do y'all think?

I agree Westbook has much more to give than LT.

Westbrook just can't stay healthy. LT was healthy and averaged only 3.3 ypc in an offense that features Phillip Rivers. That's hard to do.

Sure it would be great till someone taps him on the head and he dies on the field. I just can't see the team investing the money in an accident waiting to happen.

Agree...I actually would take LT over him with Westbrook's head problems giving LT the edge. Overall I would rather draft or sign a rookie like L.Blount or Stafon Johnson.

Westbrook is a flick in the head from having a room temperature IQ for the rest of his life.

With all the needs on defense and a loaded bench at RB why would the Saints waste money on a RB at the end of his career? Talk of picking up another RB doesn't make sense.

because when old washed up vets get released, the fandom of said team (i.e., Saints) becomes irrational and they start having patterns of delusional thought

That and the fact that Drew Brees posts stuff on his Twitter account about LT coming to New Orleans.

    It ain't just the fans.....

Read the original post. It was mentioned that it's DOUBTFUL that it will happen, but that it's fun to discuss.

This is a forum meant for discussion. I started a discussion in the offseason. It's simple, actually.

Are you saying I'm an irrational Saints fan? HA!

    See above.:dis:

I swear, some of you just try to stir the pot.
