Did anyone see Cincy's coach, Brian Kelly's, response to questioning about his candidacy for several possible HC openings? He says he would rather be talked about in that light than be talked about in reference to being on the hotseat like CWeiss, MRicht, and Les Miles. I do not have a listing for it, it was on ESPN today. I know he mentioned Miles by name along with Weiss (and I think the third name was Richt). Interesting he would reference CLM. Insight? Trying to stir things up? Just his perception?
I find it tasteless for a coach to mention by name another coaches job status. One day Brian Kelly will be in these guys shoes and I am sure he would not want his peers naming him.
He might think twice about what he says after the bowl game, if he has to play an Alabama or someone of that caliber he is going to see it's a lot harder to game plan than Connecticut.
I agree, but it's hard to say the right thing all the time and these guys always have a mic in their face. IMO it's no big deal.
I think it's just because the media has spent the week nailing Miles to a cross, and it's fresh in his mind. Still, I think it's a lack of class for one coach to bash another by name. I hope he plays somebody from our conference that shows him how tough the SEC can be:tigereye:
