Freeman is either going to be the new head coach at Notre Dame, or Cincinnati, when Fickle is the new head coach at Notre Dame.
The early reactions from the recruits on twitter seem positive, guess we will see it just seems like Woodward is trying to shove a square peg into a round hole with this hire.
Much of the rumor mill is high on Freeman regardless of experience. I dont think they want to lose him and not sure they can just keep him at DC.
So I didn’t consider Kelly a likely candidate. I noted I thought him too old and sort of a yankee ass. However he does have an impressive resume and has shown the ability to change and his performance in the last few years has been impressive. He looks to be head and shoulders better than Les and O. He also has bigger balls than Riley. Napier is a bigger reach as is Tucker. I will be optimistic about the hire; what else can we do?
Diesel, Saban and Miles were all square pegs as they say yet all fit in down here and all won NC's. All were from north of the Mason Dixon Line. I love the hire.
