Brennan Gone and now back in the fold at LSU

@shane0911 if that video comes out he may not ever be able to get past it. It's one thing to hear about it but once people see the big black athlete break the face of the little white girl tempers will flare. It won't matter what she did to provoke him, the sympathy will go her way and the NFL will distance themselves from it. From what I've been reading he has shown remorse but it was a pretty violent encounter. I'm surprised her father has not shot him. It would be hard for me to hold back if it was my daughter.

 

Bet she knows not to put her hands on someone now.

 

The video will come out even though it shouldn't. Like I said, it does nothing for anyone but become click bait for news sites and I think that is why the girls family wanted to keep it suppressed. I have talked to people around here and her life as basically been ruined by this, that's right hers. She finished school and moved back home from what I understand.

My thinking is it will drop right before the Sugar Bowl so they can all talk about it and yes, the NFL would probably give him the cold shoulder but here is the thing. Slap a Ho Joe can pack that football, so he will do another year at OU and let some other jackass take his place in the spotlight for whatever jackassery they decide to try and get away with. It will happen. It always happens.

 

Yep, she popped him and I am fairly certain she called him a name and it wasn't Joe. Doesn't make it right, doesn't excuse it but there is that.

 

I bet she doesn't either @tirk. Supposedly he started by calling her friend a gay slur or something, he lunged, she slapped, he punched. Sounds to me like she was defending her friend, but as you say if you step in that arena you better have the ass to back it up. She should have walked away but the shock value of the video will hurt him until, as Shane says, the next bone head steps up.

All I can say is they must be tolerant in OK, because here in Tennessee they would have found him swinging from a tree. These boys around here haven't heard the war is over. I thought south Louisiana was bad but these boys are some rednecks!

 

Its a pretty even split, well if you count all the poke fans its way lopsided but there were a good many of people that wanted him kicked off the team. It has sort of died down now for the most part but it will rage again once they release the video. Like I said, he can pack a football so TD's cure hurt feelings.

 

I moved here a year ago to be closer to my son and talk about a culture shock. Around west TN like Memphis and some of the larger cities it's more of what I'm used to, but in the country where I am these boys have some archaic ideas about race. I hunt on some land owned by farmers and sometimes I think my eyes are too brown to be here. I like how quiet it is and the slow pace suits me but you have to be careful about what you say regarding incidents like these. I've talked about football a few times with some of these old timers and they gave me some funny looks about my views.

She was laid out for like 40 secs which will seem like an eternity when they show it. They need to show it just so we can ruin this guys life over a bad reaction.

 

It's slow out there bc learning and evolving are slow. Comes with the territory.

 

That is just jealousy. We won't ruin anything. He is going to get paid just like the rest of them.
