nola.com reporting that last week, Vilma took a 2.2 million dollar pay cut. Not a re-structuring of his contract, 2.2 million dollars less than what he was going to make. I'm sure part of this is Vilma trying to make himself more economically attractive, considering the age and the bounty suspension that is likely coming. But part of this has got to be freeing up money for Brees.
